If you have had a smart meter for more than 30 days, you will get your EnergyFlex Rating as soon as you connect your property. However, if you just got your smart meter installed, you will need to wait until at least 30 days of energy consumption data has been collected. Once 30 days have passed since your smart meter installation, the EnergyFlex Rating will become available.
Why 30 days?
The 30-day requirement ensures that the EnergyFlex Rating is based on a representative sample of your energy consumption. A single day or even a week of data may not reflect your typical usage patterns, as factors like weather, appliance use, and daily routines can vary significantly. By collecting data over a full month, EnergyFlex can generate a more reliable and meaningful rating that accurately represents your energy habits.
What can I see before 30 days?
Even if you’ve just had your smart meter installed, you can still access several valuable features of the EnergyFlex app:
- Daily Energy Usage: You can monitor your energy consumption in real-time or review daily trends to understand how much electricity you are using.
- Best time to use energy: Discover when there is more renewable energy available in the grid so electricity is cheaper.
- Energy Plan Insights: The app provides information about your current energy plan, helping you compare rates and identify potential savings.
- Energy-Saving Tips: You will receive personalised recommendations to reduce carbon emissions and lower your energy bills.
